Susan Wyatt studied for her Fashion & Design degree at Ravensbourne College. She commenced her career in London working for west end fashion companies cutting day and evening wear.
She then retrained as a costumier in the workshop of Jean Hunnisett and became a costume technician in the Theatre department at Central School of Art, Holborn, London.
Subsequently she became a freelance manufacturer. For many years she made ladies costumes for companies such as the Royal Opera House and, often via MBA, outfits for west end musicals and Euro Disney.
Susan is a historical costume specialist and is a member of the Costume Society.
More recently she has worked as a costume manufacturer on productions in a wide range of historical styles for TV and Film for both men and ladies. Productions she has made items for include The Crimson Field, 47 Ronin, Sherlock Holmes II, Our Zoo, Mr Selfridge, Strange and Nolan, Legoland Christmas Show and Lewis and Clark. Her most recent work has been on Victoria, Interlude in Prague and My Cousin Rachel.
